Whimsy Quilts and Fabrics, my favorite resource for quilt kits and fabric, reached out on social media last year for someone to donate their time to make a quilt. I had the exact quilt I knew I wanted to make, and I typed so fast on my little iPhone keypad to PICK ME! and voila! This hexagon quilt was born!
I love how the quilting turned out. Side note: I’m afraid of free motion quilting. I seriously just picture all my hard work piecing the quilt top going up in the flames the second that darning foot hits the fabric. Plus I’m not typically crazy about how it turns out? Any tips or styles that have converted you?
This line of fabric by Bonnie Christine is so springy and dreamy, it kind of makes me wish that lush green grass was back so I could go lay in the sun and read a good book. Ah wintertime, can’t live with you, can’t live without you.
And of COURSE I have to shout out to my #husbandswhoholdquilts. So eager to be of service. 🙂
